What the world needs now, is love, sweet love……

For many years, Saint Valentine’s Day has been my favorite holiday. I love the unabashed sentimentality of it all. I love the sweet treats and pretty presents. I used to do a ladies tea party at my house with little pink cakes and a table full of scraps, ribbons, stickers etc to make homemade valentines for our loved ones. Of course, this year, the uncertainties of the covid virus has made collateral damage of my sweet little party . But a girl can always decorate! Out came my red “Valentine stuff” tote. I purged a bunch of old stuff I no longer want or need then put up just a few things to celebrate this loveliest of holidays. I also made a pretty craft that I will share with you. My Valentines wish for you is that you have all the love your heart can handle! Hugs and kisses, mimi

First Valentine I made for himself
More handmade valentines with the little figurines my mother gave me

Started heart garland craft by cutting out a heart template
cut out, hand stitched, and stuffed little cloth hearts
Sweetheart garland made from bits of cloth that were scraps I had on hand including bits I had from my mother as well as the recently passed away sister of a dear friend of mine. Each fabric has meaning and memory. I’m really pleased how it turned out.
