It has been a very busy and event filled month here at Stone Porch Cottage. We missed the first week as we were traveling in Spain. This meant a mad scramble to get decorated as soon as we returned. Then, the usual December rounds of events including the little Nutcracker performance I enjoy every year, several birthdays, visits with dear friends, and a bit of church snuck in here and there. As 2019 comes quickly to a close, I am reminded just how blessed I am to enjoy health and the love of so many friends and family. I am blessed in my precious husband and our dear little home and our precious pets with whom we share our lives. For the past few years I have chosen a broad new year’s resolution; something less specific than” lose 10 lbs.” or the like. One year I chose, “joy”. Another year I chose, “fitness”. This new year of 2020, I am choosing 2 that I think will compliment one another; “faith” and “gratitude”. I have been putting serious consideration into both recently but intend to “double down” in this new year. The order for today however is laundry, tidying, and the beginning of “unchristmasing” the house. I’m really looking forward to having a few empty surfaces as well as my old faithful pictures hung back up where I can enjoy them.
Another Christmas come and gone…
