Summer in the garden….

One of the things that brings me the most joy now adays is my garden. Since quarantine and the following craziness, gardening has really become a solace for me. In the chaos, I find calm. In the insanity, I find peace and order. The friendly tweets, chirps, hoots, and clicks of the birds on a warm sunny morning is so lovely. Squirrels scamper around in the trees, chasing each other and playing. Butterflies, bumblebees, and hummingbirds flit around doing their important job of pollinating and being beautiful. Children run around dancing, playing in sprinklers, enjoying “““swings. Evenings, sitting on back patio with dear friends chatting, and sharing something yummy to eat and drink. This is my haven and my refuge from the confusing and distressing current world in which we live.
