If you’re looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday evening in the summertime, you should seriously consider visiting Hillside Gardens. Years ago, we visited a couple of times. It was fun but… honestly, I can’t remember why we never went back. Just so many choices I suppose.
Recently, after being invited by some friends we ventured out and gave it another go. Let me just say, it was a blast.
The musical performances begin at 6:00 so we decided to arrive early (doors open at 5:00) as parking can get crazy. There is also free parking for bicycles, and they actually have attendants keeping an eye on
your bike. The entrance fee is $15 though going up to $18
beginning August 2024. With that, you get one drink as well as great musical entertainment in a gorgeous garden setting. Several food vendors are also scattered around to provide yummy eats for an extra fee.
Really a lovely way to spend a warm Colorado Springs summer evening with your sweetheart or friends. A great deal for a great time. Bring folding chairs if you have them. Otherwise, they do have places available to sit. May also be wise to pack and umbrella and/or a light raincoat as it has been known to rain unexpectedly.
